We are a long established and forward-thinking choir with around 30 singers from Castleford and beyond.

We perform regularly in the immediate area, generally in support of fund-raising ventures by local organisations and are available for hire for weddings, funerals and other special events.

 

Rehearsals are held on Friday evenings at Trinity Methodist Church, Powell St, Castleford. We’re a friendly bunch and new members are always welcome.

The choir has a great traditional and varied repertoire, the atmosphere, is fun and the friendship and camaraderie is unrivalled, we are very proud of our traditions and history however constantly strive to improve and perform to the best standard possible.

 

With the guidance of Andris our Musical Director and Claire our brilliant accompanist and the dedication of our members, the choir hopes to maintain and develop. We want to be a major example that shows, singing is a great way to improve your health and wellbeing.

This year 2024 we are challenging the men from Castleford and its surrounding areas to come and UNITE with CMVC to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. 

 

There will be a number of open events during January, February and March (see the ‘Charity Page’ on this website for details) to learn about our Choir and how Prostate Cancer UK operates. All would be singers (should they wish to do so) will be invited to take part in our ‘Party in The Park’ (Queens Park, Castleford) on Saturday 20th July 2024. 

 

You may also want to join  our ‘Butty Club’ on the last Saturday of every month (10.00am to 1.00pm) at the Trinity Methodist Church in Castleford. To get together and have a fun sing along, (requests accepted) it is not a rehearsal.
